How to purchase licenses in BackOps, what you need set up first, and how to explore the platform before committing.
Licenses are purchased from within your organization's billing settings. Before you can complete a purchase, you'll need a payment method and billing address on file.
How to Purchase
Go to Settings → Billing
From within your organization, open Settings and navigate to Billing. This is where all license management lives.
Add a payment method
Click Update Payment Methods to add a credit card or bank account. Bank accounts carry lower processing fees and are the recommended option when possible.
Add your billing information
Fill in your billing address. A zip code is required — the form will not complete without it.
Select and purchase your licenses
Once your payment method and billing address are in place, select the licenses you want and complete the purchase. You can also trigger the licensing flow from the events page — if you don't have an active Event Pro license, BackOps will prompt you when you try to create an event.
After purchasing, it can take a moment for the license to activate. If the events page doesn't update right away, wait a few seconds and refresh.
Licenses are attached to the organization you're in when you purchase them. Make sure you're in the right org before buying — there's no way to transfer a license between organizations. If you purchase in the wrong org, reach out to our support team and we can help sort it out.
Exploring Before You Buy
If you want to get a feel for the platform before committing to a license, we can set you up with a sandbox account. Reach out to our team and we'll get you access so you can explore at your own pace.
For teams who are ready to use BackOps on real events but aren't sure how many licenses they need, we also offer trial periods — a short window with more capacity than you expect to need at a reduced flat rate, so you can run some actual events and see where usage lands before settling on a billing model.
